Mike Jones, Director

Mike Jones is the University of California Cooperative Extension Forest Advisor for Mendocino, Lake, and Sonoma Counties. He conducts a research/education program that helps private landowners steward forest lands, including home-hardening and defensible space. He is a founding member and Chair of the Mendocino County Prescribed Burn Association, Chair of the Insect Committee for the California Forest Pest Council, and a member of the Jackson Demonstration State Forest Advisory Group and Board of Forestry Effectiveness Monitoring Committee. Mike has a doctorate degree in Entomology from the State University of New York, and is an alumnus of UC Davis.
